Be Mine

We had such a fun Valentines Day!!! Cordell got some of our friends together and made it a day full of suprises for all the girls!! We woke up and had a visit from Cupid who doorbell ditched us some yummy goodies!!! Then we exchanged cards and got ready for the day. We went to a friends house where the boys made us breakfast and watched the kids while we just sat and talked! We ate our yummy blueberry pancakes with bacon and eggs and then were told to go into the family room! We walked in and Tony sang to us the song he sang for his wife at their wedding! He was so good! He sang You and Me from Lifehouse! Then they put in PS I Love You (which I had never seen, but loved) and brought out glasses and poured us Sparkling Cider and we were suprised that it turned our favorite color!! Cordell had put food coloring in it so it looked like it was changing colors! So Cute!!! Then we got a foot rub complete with hot lotion (our favorite scent) and butter knife scrape (Cordell has always done this and I love it) and then our pick of toenail polish! Then of course who could forget the dozen roses we each got suprised with to take home!! I had known about the flowers because Cordell was tempted to leave them in the car so I wouldn't see them, but wanted some advice and was very sad he told me...but suprised me with the fact that he bought me 2 dozen so I would be suprised!!! My hubby is such a wonderful guy and I am a VERY lucky girl to have such a wonderful husband!!! He always finds such cute ways to tell me he loves me! Part of this days fun was seeing my friends get pampered too and he knew that I would love that and got the guys in gear!!! I love you Cordy!! You are the worlds best Valentine!!!

Choose The Right....Right?

So Jackson had been LOVING his Ctr 5 class and loves wearing his new CTR ring that his teachers gave him! He is learning the song..."Choose The Right" and really likes it! We also played twister as a family activity for FHE the other night and he is learning his R and L hands and feet...We wanted him to know that he takes the sacrament with his R hand! So the other day he was making the L out of his Left hand and said ...."This is my L Hand?" And I said "Yes thats right" and he was so confused and said "no it's left" I was doing the dishes and not catching on to how I was confusing my poor child and said ..."right" He got really frustrated and so I finally looked at him and realized what I had been saying and straightened it all out.... a couple of minutes later he came up to me and said "mommy ctr is choose the right....not the left huh!" I was laughing so hard I almost cried! We had another heart to heart, but I am always amazed at how simple the Gospel makes things! I get so focused and get so stressed about everything that I forget the simplicity! No wonder God has asked us to become like a child! Jackson is such a sweetheart and I just had to share such a cute story! I love you baby! Thank you for being such a good boy and an example to mommy!

Happy Birthday MOMMY!!!

This weekend is my Mom's birthday!!! I have been so blessed to have been given the best mother in the entire world! She is an amazing wife and mother and the best example of what a mom is!! Mom, I love you so much and know how incredibly lucky I am to call you mom! I hope you have a WONDERFUL birthday and that you know how much we all love you!!! I wish I could give you everything I want to, but know you would even be happy with a telephone call! You are amazing and I can't wait to spend some time with you this weekend!! I love you Mom!!! Shadow Games

Well, the verdict is in....6 more weeks of salting sidewalks, bundling up to get the mail, and telling your 4 year old that he still can't play outside! Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow!! I was telling Jackson about it last night and he said......"Ah..Man....Naybe we should wait till dark and try again." LOL!!!! I love that kid!!! Well here is to 6 more weeks of Ice Chilling Winter!!
