Paul Newman...You Will Be Missed!

I have been working hard this weekend and came in to the computer this morning to catch up on things. I was incredibly sad to learn that Paul Newman passed away of the cancer he was quietly fighting. He was 83 and leaves his wife of 50+ years and his children behind. I of course didn't know Paul Newman, but enjoyed his acting and his baby blues! From what I know about him he was married for 50 + years ( an accomplishment in Hollywood, or anywhere now), a father who suffered great loss when his only son died in 1978, and a great contributor to many charities! Mostly I remember sitting with my dad and watching "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid." I love that movie and the memories that come along with it! I know that my heart goes out to his family and friends and that he was a good man and will be missed terribly!

A New Do

Ok this is straight from my appointment! I still need to do it myself, with my own "flare"! This gives you the jist of it! I love it and I am really excited to play with it! Thanks for all of the support and ideas! I will try and replace this pic with one I take after I really do it! I like that my head is lighter lol! I cut about 6-8 inches off! I couldn't believe it! Well thnks again for all the posts! I was actually nervous, if I could take my head off and do it myself I would. It is always hard for me to pay someone to do something I can do lol! She did a great job thought! I have to go to aerobics, but I will post a new pic later!

Shut Out and Shut Up (sorry about the language lol)

I apologize for using shutup ( a naughty word in our house), but it seemed to fit. Ever since the Washington game everyone has been boo hoo'ing over our win and I found it very fitting that we shut out UCLA! The commentaters had nothing to "blame" this win on and it was nice that they were giving the Cougs some much needed and deserved recognition! Hall was amazing and right on target! He tied the BYU record for 7 td's in a game! I was of course also impressed with Unga, Collie, Reid, Putnam, well everyone! Our defense was awesome too and HELLO...we blocked yet ANOTHER kick!! We won 59 - 0 and oh what a feeling! As always, I do feel bad for the UCLA players and Chow as well, however, the Cougs played to win and boy did they! Cordell and I are trying to finish up the painting around the apartments, but I came in with the kids and saw every TD! It was really fun to see some players come off the bench and get to see some minutes! They did a great job too! Congrats to our Cougars! WE LOVE YOU! It is always a good game when your team comes out and plays that well and just proves what we already know about their playing ability! On to the next game! BRING IT ON!

Enough Is Enough

Ok, I am so sick of hearing all this controversy over the BYU vs. Washington game! Anyone else sick of it? I'm not going to re-hash the whole scenario but I will say to the people who are whining about the "excessive celebration" penalty that was called on Washington is......the call was the correct call. Rule 9, Section 2, Article 2c, in the rule book states: that a player can be penalized for an unsportsmanlike act for "throwing the ball high into the air." And that is what Washington's Quarterback did on Saturday. Plus, Washington did NOT lose because this penalty was called. They lost because BYU blocked the extra point!! Whether they called the penalty or not, BYU still blocked the kick. Give BYU's special teams some credit, please! Whew, I had to get that off my chest. Sorry for all of you who don't know what in the world I'm even talking about but I'm an avid BYU fan!! Now, I just hope that BYU kills UCLA and shuts all the critics up!! Go Cougars!!

7 Down, And Many More To Come!!

Cordell and I just celebrated our 7 year anniversary! We don't feel that old! I truly am blessed to have such an amazing hubby and such an awesome marriage! I rarely have a complaint or something to grip at, when it comes to my marriage! I am sooo lucky! I love my husband and our little family! I must have done something right to have the blessings that I have! I love you baby! Here is a small taste of the last 7 years!

Fathers and Sons

Jackson got to go on his first "father and son" campout! Owen's daddy had to work so Cordell took him. We have been promising Jackson he could campout with Owen FOREVER! He was sooooo excited! They had lots of fun with Jacksons cousins too! Gracie asked her daddy if she could please go even though she is not a boy! You can't say no to that!!! They all had a blast! Cordell and Jackson won the Egg Drop! Jackson was very excited! It was a good thing too that Cordell thought of bringing fire wood, because no one else did. They had lots of people surrounding their fire pit! My baby is growing up so fast! I was sad I couldn't be there, but Cordell was threatend with pain and the silent treatment if he didn't document it with lots of pics lol! He did a great job! It was so fun to hear about it when they got home! Jackson loved alone time with his daddy! Thanks Cordell for being such a great dad!!! I can't wait for next year when Cameron can go too!!! What a great activity for a boy and his dad! I have to say I got a tiny bit scared being all by myself that night. I had Cameron, but he fell asleep and the house was way too QUIET!!!! What a great way to say adios to the summer! Until next year.....

At The CUTTING Edge

To cut or not to cut.....that is my question! I have been wanting a change for awhile now and my hair is really, really long! In fact, gravity is doing it's job and my hair goes frizzy and flat in a manner of minutes! I am in desperate need of advise! Should I go back to full bangs or keep the side bang? Should I hack it like the above picture or should I just get color and more layers? Tell me your HONEST opinions!!!! What is my best look and what new suggestions do you have? Help me! I want to like my hair again....SOON! Thanks! My cousin Kim just emailed me the below pic....what do you think? I am sure no matter what I pick I will be dissapointed because I will not magically transform into either Jennifer Aniston or Jessica Simpson lol!
